We offer small group ratios that guarantee our ability to focus on individual development. Students learn to be safe and strong swimmers while focusing on technique and correct form as they progress.

For adult lessons, see the Adult Programs page.

Financial Assistance

Scholarship assistance is available for Group Swim Lessons. To apply for this financial assistance, please complete this Scholarship Application and return it to the APJCC Membership Office. Thank you to the participants in the APJCC Adult Master Swim Class, who funded the swim scholarship for youth to learn how to swim! The Master Swim Class participants personally know the joy of swimming, and the importance to have all youth learn how to swim, regardless of the financial capability of their families.

If you would like to contribute to this scholarship fund, please contact the JCC at or 408.357.7401.

Parent-tot lessons are group lessons for children ages 6 months to 3 years old. Each child must be accompanied by a parent. Swim instructors use a variety of songs and games to help children acclimate to the water while learning swimming skills and having fun.  Parents will learn to use cueing to help their children become comfortable in the water and prepare them for our preschool swim lessons.  We will have fun interacting with other families while we learn kicking, bubbles, floating, and even submersions.  This class provides a fun and safe environment for parents to bond with their children in the pool.

Parent-tot classes are seasonal and are held on Saturdays, from April-October only. Pricing (per class) is $20 for Full Center Members, $30 for Social Members and non-members.

For more information, contact or call 408.357.7428.

Please note that we have a double swim diaper policy. All children must wear both a disposable swim diaper and a reusable swim diaper.

A note about fees: If you are registering a child for an aquatics program, please note that the program fee is based on the child’s JCC membership status, not the parent’s JCC membership status. If the child is a Full Center Member, he or she receives the Full Center Member discount.
