How to Use the JCC’s New Reservation System

Reservations are required in order to use JCC facilities and to sign up for group fitness classes.  To make a reservation, use the “My J” mobile app. Reservations are available for members only. You can download the app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Then sign in with the email address associated with your JCC account.

Getting Started

General Information about the My J App

How to Get the My J App
Download the app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Then sign in with the email address associated with your JCC account.

 

How to Make a Reservation Using the App
• For a group fitness class (including Aqua Fit), log into the app and click “Group Fitness.”
• For the swimming pool or the tennis courts, log into the app and click “Schedule a Visit.”

 

Step-by-Step Instructions

Make a Group Fitness Class Reservation in the “My J” app
(Note: Group Fitness includes Aqua Fit, in-person classes, and virtual classes.)
1. Select “Group Fitness Classes” icon on the Home screen. (To get to the Home screen, click the Home icon at the bottom of the screen.)
2. Select date of class.
3. Click “Reserve” for the class you want to attend.

View Upcoming Reservations
1. Select Reservations (at the bottom of the Home screen).
2. Click on “Today” or “Upcoming” at the top.

Make a Group Fitness Class Reservation on Your Computer
(Note: Group Fitness includes Aqua Fit, in-person classes, and virtual classes.)
1. Go to https://apjcc.org/reservations
2. Click on the date of the class you want.
3. Click “Reserve” for the class you want to attend.
4. If you are not signed in, you will be prompted to sign in with your email and password. This is the same email and password you would use to sign in to the My J app.
5. To attend the class, go to https://apjcc.org/reservations and click the red “Start Class” button at the start of the class.

Participate in a Virtual Class that You’ve Registered for in the “My J” App
1. Click “Reservations” at the bottom of the Home screen.
2. Click on the class you would like to attend.
3. Click on “Start Class”.
4. Please note: Virtual classes are held on Zoom, so you will need to have Zoom downloaded on the device you are using.

Make a Reservation for the Outdoor Fitness Center, Pool, or Tennis Court
1. Select “Schedule a Visit” icon on the Home screen.
2. Click the top right corner to choose the facility you would like to make the reservation for (Pool/ Aquatics Center, Fitness Center, or Tennis Center).
3. Select date.
4. Select reservation area/ type. (Example: Lap Lane, Family Swim, etc.)
5. Select start time of reservation. Please note: If there are no times listed, that means everything is booked.
6. Select duration of reservation. (Please note: all reservations are standardized at this time. Family Swim or Outdoor Fitness Center: 90 minutes, Lap Swim: 45 minutes.)
7. Click “Reserve”.
8. This section is not meant to make a Group Fitness reservation. If you would like to make a reservation for Group Fitness — including Aqua Fit classes — go back to the Home screen and click on “Group Fitness Classes”.

Cancel a Reservation
1. Select Reservations (at the bottom of the Home screen).
2. Click on “Today” or “Upcoming” at the top.
3. Click “Cancel” for the reservation you wish to cancel.
4. Confirm by clicking “Yes, Cancel Reservation”.

Download a PDF Version of the Group Fitness Schedule
1. Go to apjcc.org/reservations
2. Select “Group Fitness” from the “Select Location” dropdown list.
3. Select “Group Exercise” from the “Select Schedule Type” dropdown list.
4. You can select specific “Rooms” but it isn’t necessary.
5. Click the “Create Weekly PDF” button.
6. The schedule will download as a PDF and will be at the bottom of your screen labeled “report”. It might take a minute or two for the file to download.
7. Click on the file to open.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I don’t have a mobile phone. Can I still use the app?
A: You can also download the My J app on a tablet. If you don’t have a phone or tablet, you can use the Group Fitness Class portion of the app on your computer, by going to the JCC’s Group Fitness Schedule web page. If you are trying to book a reservation for the Fitness Center, Pool or Tennis Courts, please contact membership@apjcc.org.

Q: I’ve downloaded the app, but I can’t log in.
A: Only active JCC members use the app. If you’re a JCC member and you can’t log in, the reason might be that your credit card on file has expired or that we might have a  different email address on file for you. Contact memberupdate@apjcc.org for assistance.

Q: The app keeps asking me to reset my password. What should I do?
A: We are aware of this bug, and are working hard with the developer to fix it. In the meantime, email us at membership@apjcc.org. We can manually fix this from the backend.

Q: I’m looking at the Group Fitness Schedule on the website and I want to make a reservation, but I can’t figure out what to click.
A: First you must click “Log in” and log in with your email address. Then you’ll see the reservation buttons. Here’s a picture that shows where to log in:

Q: I’ve logged into the app and I’m trying to book a reservation, but I’m getting an error message.
A: Please close the app and then reopen it. This usually fixes the problem.

Q: Help! I’m late to my virtual group fitness class  and it seems to have disappeared from the schedule.
A: Classes appear on the schedule until 20 minutes after their start time. Then they can no longer be accessed.

Q: How far in advance can I make a reservation?
A: You can make a reservation up to 7 days in advance.

Q: How many reservations can I make?
A: At this time we are limiting everyone to 1 reservation per day to ensure that everyone can get a reservation. For the pool, you are limited to 4 reservations per person, per week. We may adjust this in the future based on member demand.

Q: How do I view my current reservations?
A: Log into the app, select Reservations (at the bottom of the Home screen), and then click on “Today” or “Upcoming” at the top. This will let you see any reservations that you’ve already made.
