SWIM LESSONS

Registration for Fall Group Lessons is now open.

  • Lessons will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-5:30pm.
  • Pick a day and time and come once a week at that time.
  • Please only register one in class per child as space is very limited
  • Session is 7 lessons long and runs September through October.
  • This information is not for Adult and Swim Team Coached lessons taught by coach Nikita.

Summer Sessions are happening now! Sessions are Monday through Thursday weekly. Pick a time, a level, and come everyday that week. Sign up for multiple weeks!

  • Classes are in the afternoons from 3:00-6:00pm
  • Each class is 30 minutes long
  • Please only sign up for one class per week per child
  • For members and non-members
  • Our instructors work with each child individually on what they need to progress their skills within a group class, all while having fun!

  • For ages 3-8 years old
  • 3:1 Student to instructor ratio
  • This class is for children with little to no experience
  • What they will learn: 
    • Blowing bubbles 
    • Submerging head
    • Front/back float 
    • Blast off from wall
    • Flutter kicks
    • Blast offs from wall
    • Swimming short distances unassisted
    • Collecting rings on pool bottom in the shallow recreation area
    • Safety jumps
      • Child will jump in water, go into a back float to get air, then swim back to the wall unassisted
    • Develop a feeling of comfort and fun
    • Students will be able to self save after completing this level

  • 4:1 Student to instructor ratio
  • For ages 3-16 years old
  • This class if for students who can: 
    • Swim independently
    • Are able to complete Safety Jumps and skills taught in Level 1
      • Jump in water, back float to get air, swim back to the wall unassisted
  • What they will learn:
    • Rollover breathing with breaststroke arms
    • Freestyle & Backstroke
    • Reinforce self save skills taught in Level 1
    • Gain other methods for playing and getting around
    • Learn the basics of freestyle, strong streamline body position, and breathing patterns
    • Learn the basics of backstroke

  • This class if for students who can perform basic freestyle and backstroke
  • What the will learn:
    • Enhancement of basic freestyle and backstroke
    • Breaststroke
    • Butterfly
    • Flip turns
    • Advanced techniques

  • Taught by Head Coach Nikita
  • Sessions are monthly and held every Tuesday.
  • 4:1 Student to Instructor Ratio
  • Ages 6-16 years old
  • What they need to know:
    • All strokes
    • Currently enrolled in swim team
  • What they will learn: 
    • Will get more individual coaching
    • Coach Nikita will tailor instruction to each student.

  • Classes are 45 minutes long
  • Coach will work on each individual’s goals.

  • You can cancel up to 7 days before the lesson start date to receive a full refund. Send us an email at aquatics@jvalley.org.
  • There are no refunds for classes in the session that you are unable to attend.
  • Refunds may be given if your participant becomes ill and a doctor’s note is provided.
  • No makeup classes are given at this time due to limited pool space.
