From virtual costume and cocktail parties to in-person CARnivals (yes, in your car), here are many ways to celebrate Purim in the South Bay. Purim 2021 starts the evening of February 25 and runs through February 26. This holiday commemorates the Jews of ancient Persia’s narrow escape from destruction. It’s celebrated by Jews around the world with costumes, parties, carnivals, parades, and reading the biblical Book of Esther, which tells the whole story.
