Rabbi Laurie brings her musical background, Jewish passion and song leading experience to this exciting integration of a research-backed early childhood music program with Jewish literacy. Grownup participation is required. Families will receive Music Together materials and supplemental materials, as well as a weekly video of a bonus song in our private FB group!

Do you wish your child could do their distance learning with a fun group of friends under responsible, qualified adult supervision? Now they can! Sign up for “All Day at the J.”

What: This new program provides childcare at the JCC while kids in grades K-5 do their online learning independently. We’ll provide fun extracurricular activities too. Group size limited to 12 children.

“All Day at the J” is a state-licensed childcare program, California license #430709398. Children and staff will be health screened daily, and staff will be COVID-tested weekly. Face masks are required.

This class is currently being offered in the JCC’s Outdoor Fitness Center.

Children ages 10 and up can learn to use the Fitness Center in a safe and effective manner through this five-session program. (For children 10-12 years old, this program is REQUIRED in order to be admitted to the Fitness Center. After completing the program, children can work out with parental supervision. Children ages 13 and up can also benefit from this program, but it’s not required.)

During the first four sessions, your child will learn about different components of exercise including flexibility, cardiovascular, strength training, balance and core training, and safe use of the equipment. During the fifth, individually scheduled session, they will be taken through a practical examination with the instructor.

Dates and times are based on participant request and instructor availability. Rates are $200 for Full Center Members, $250 for Social Members or non-members. New for the 2020-21 school year! The Beged Kefet Hebrew Language School will offer Hebrew as a Second Language (HSL) for children ages 6-8 years old, on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30pm. The school year runs from September 2020 – June 2021.

Instruction for the fall semester will be virtual (online).

Beged Kefet is a Hebrew language afterschool program for students in kindergarten through high school. It opened in September 2008 in response to the local community’s need and has been headquartered at the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto since September 2009. Beged Kefet operates satellite campuses at the JCC in Los Gatos, as well as in Sunnyvale, Foster City, the East Bay, and Stanford.

Mini Camps are offered on dates when local schools are closed for a day or two. Come hang out in the JCC’s youth lounge, Club J, for a fun-filled day of supervised activities. Full day (9:00am-3:30pm) and half-day (9:00am-12:30pm) options are available, as well as extended care (8:00-9:00am and 3:30-6:00pm). Cost for a full day is $75 CM/SM, $97.50 NM. Extended care is available.

Ride the Los Gatos School Bus to the JCC
The Los Gatos school bus stops at the JCC! Students from Blossom Hill Elementary, Fisher Middle, and Van Meter Elementary can ride the bus.
