The Ritchie Boys: Honoring the Immigrants Who Helped Win World War II
January 27, 2022 | 5:00-6:30pm | Online Webinar
In commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Jewish Silicon Valley invites you to a special webinar, The Ritchie Boys: Honoring the Immigrants Who Helped Win World War II.

The Ritchie Boys were a group of German-speaking Jews enlisted to a special unit of the US Military Intelligence Service in WWII. Using their German language and cultural knowledge, they waged psychological warfare against the Nazis and facilitated the liberation of Europe. Hear the stories of these unsung heroes by a Ritchie Boy veteran himself, alongside experts and community members with a special connection to the top secret unit.

Register here. We invite you to submit questions in advance to mayat@jvalley.org.

Participants:
Paul Fairbrook, a Ritchie Boy, with Rabbi Jason Gwasdoff
Dr. David Frey, Professor, History & Founding Director of the Center for Holocaust & Genocide Studies at the US Military Academy at West Point
