Silicon Valley Jewish Music Festival
Enjoy live music, food, and family activities at this annual festival on the JCC field. This year’s theme will be camping and there will be song circles around an artificial campfire in between the headlining bands that will perform on the main stage.
There will also be food trucks and a wine & beer vendor. We recommend bringing along some cash for food, as most food vendors don’t accept credit cards.
Activities for children include camping activities such as fishing and bird watching games, solar cooking of s’mores, and a Sports Basement sponsored campsite with tents, hammocks, slack line and more.
Tickets: $10-$18. Save money by purchasing tickets in advance!

Eric & Happie – performance time 5:30pm
Eric and Happie are a singer-songwriter duo out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, blending folk harmonies with indie sensibilities. They’ll be playing songs from their debut Jewish indie folk album, Hamavdil, with melodies inspired by the warm harmonies of American folk music and the contagious hooks of modern indie pop.
Campfire Songs – between the main performances
Between the main performances, song leaders will lead a sing-along around the campfire.
• Michael Pastushkov 2:00-2:20pm. Michael’s songs are in Russian, with introduction in English.
• Ken Abrams 3:30-3:50pm. Ken, a lay cantor and amateur musical theater actor, will be leading campfire songs in both English and Hebrew.
• Rabbi Josh Berkenwald and Jamie Zimmer 5:00-5:20pm. Rabbi Josh is the rabbi at Congregation Sinai of San Jose. Jamie is the Middle School Jewish Studies teacher at Yavneh Day School. Together, they love to jam for Kabbalat Shabbat, Purim, and here at the Silicon Valley Jewish Music Festival to a range of traditional and modern Hebrew music. Come sing along with them!
