Grief and Loss Salon (Offsite)
Are you seeking to bring Judaism into your daily life but don’t know where to start? Do you want to increase your family’s connection to the Jewish tradition? The JCC’s Jewish Journeys workshop series will give you inspiring ideas and concrete tools to bring Jewish values, messages, and actions into your family’s life. Led by our Mindful Jewish Journeys educator Rabbi Laurie Matzkin, you will enjoy a pluralistic, safe space to explore different aspects of “Judaism behind the scenes.” All faith backgrounds and levels of religious practice are welcome.
The topic for our May 16 meeting will be Grief and Loss. Grief and loss are part of the human condition. Join me in a relaxed and intimate setting as we take a behind-the-scenes look at Jewish wisdom around mourning. When confronting loss of different kinds, Jewish tradition has many time-tested tools to bring comfort, perspective, and reflection to our experience. Come away with tools to support yourself and others in challenging moments. **Please RSVP in advance**
Please note: Our May 16 meeting will be at the Bellagio Italian restaurant in Campbell. Price: $25 per person, includes drink and dessert. Bring a friend for a $5 discount.
