The JCC offers many activities for families to do together. Some of those events are listed on this page. Browse through our Events Calendar to see other upcoming events your family might enjoy.
Float Night Pool Parties
Most summers the JCC hosts Float Nights, which are free community pool parties and barbecues. It looks like we won’t be having Float Nights in summer 2020 in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are trying to figure out something else fun to do, to celebrate the summer. Stay tuned! For more information, email email@example.com.
Connect Your Life to the Jewish Calendar
Join Rabbi Laurie Matzkin, Mindful Jewish Journeys Educator, for an exploration of the themes of the Jewish months and how their unique energies can help focus our personal growth throughout the year. This framework for reflection and mindfulness is organized around the Jewish calendar but applies to women of all faiths. Diverse women come together to enjoy text study, self-reflection, journaling, and real life themes relevant to mothers of all ages and stages. We welcome all moms, including first-time participants! The first session is free, and after that there is a cost of $10 per session. For upcoming dates, the Zoom link, and more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
This program is a partnership between the APJCC and the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley.
J-Fam: A Playgroup For Jewish Babies and Their Grownups
Yes, J-Fam is still running! It’s now taking place online.
New to the area? New to parenthood? New to or want to learn more about Judaism? Looking to find new friends? Check out J-Fam!
With the guidance of a dynamic rabbi-educator (and mom of little ones), we will create a pluralistic space for sharing, venting, singing, learning, and most of all, supporting each other. For babies 5 months old to new walkers, with their grownup.
This group is facilitated by Rabbi Laurie Matzkin, the JCC’s Mindful Jewish Journeys Educator. It’s organized by the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, in partnership with the JCC.
We meet on Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30am on Zoom. Free!

Silicon Valley Community Trip to Israel
We’re planning a trip to Israel for summer 2021 in partnership with the Oshman Family JCC. (Trip was originally planned for summer 2020, but has been moved to summer 2021.) For more information, see www.paloaltojcc.org/israeltrip.
The Addison-Penzak JCC is proud to be a part of the Koret Initiative on Jewish Peoplehood. The JCC is also supported by the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture, and by the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley and other generous donors. All APJCC Los Gatos programming for older adults (including Grandpals Shabbat) is made possible, in part, by a generous grant from The Myra Reinhard Family Foundation.
