COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE
Weekly Produce Box from High Ground Organics
Get fresh, local, organic produce delivered weekly from a local farm when you join our JCC-sponsored CSA program.
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA members purchase “shares” of a farm’s produce in advance, and then pick up the produce once a week from the JCC.
Cost: The cost of the produce is $24 per week. Fresh local flowers are also available for an additional $10 per week. There are several payment plans available. See the High Ground Organics website for details. You can try it out for 4 weeks, and then sign up for a 10-week series after the initial trial period.
What you get: Each weekly share is considered sufficient for a family of four. Your weekly box of vegetables will vary with the seasons and from week to week, with a balanced mix of vegetables and fruits. Boxes typically include items like cooking greens, salad mix or lettuce, berries or other fruit, onions, root vegetables, herbs, beans, potatoes, squash, fennel, peppers, and tomatoes.
