COMMUNITIES
We Are One Community
Adults
Learning is a lifelong journey at the JCC. Our diverse selection of courses ensures there is something for everyone to continue their adult education. Whether you are looking to reawaken your artistic abilities, master Mah Jongg, remain up-to-date with current events, discuss art and music history and more –- this is the perfect place to start! We also offer social events throughout the year, such as monthly lunches where you can make new friends and catch up with old ones.
Families
At the JCC, we nurture families by cultivating experiences where children can thrive, parents can connect, and families can grow together. When you join us for a swim in our pool with your baby, a music class with your toddler, a barbecue with your school-aged child, or Shabbat with a grandchild, you will feel right at home. At the JCC, we are here for your family at every age and at every stage. We also offer special family programs for Hebrew speakers and Russian speakers.
Arts
The JCC's Teitelbaum Family Center for the Arts offers a vibrant arts and culture program including literary, performing, and visual arts for the entire family. We are proud to present art exhibitions, concerts, performances, festivals, and a speaker series. Enjoy a concert in our auditorium, view a theater performance, enjoy a talk by a visiting author, or take in a free exhibition in our 2nd floor art gallery hallway.
Jewish Life
Jewish values are at the heart of the mission of the JCC, and those values shine through in all our program areas. We offer a Jewish framework that is accessible to people across the various denominations of Judaism as well as those of other traditions, that retains the JCC’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and that makes no assumptions about participants' backgrounds or beliefs. You'll find a Jewish connection in many of our programs outside the Jewish Life department as well as within it.
Programs for Russian Speakers
Join us for a variety of Jewish programs for Russian speakers, including Hebrew and traditions for children, family holiday programs, lectures, guest speakers, Shabbat programs, cultural club with book and film presentations, Jewish performances and concerts, and much more. Our Russian Language programming is run by Rabbi Ilana Baird, who has served communities in Russia, Germany, Israel, and the United States.
Community Events
The JCC is a home for people of all backgrounds to grow and learn, and to care about and deepen their connections to one another. We offer a wide array of cultural, social, educational, and recreational events that are open to everyone. From pool parties and barbecues to Yoga on the Green, you'll find a plethora of events to choose from, many of them low cost or free.
Israeli Programs
Join us for a variety of programs for Hebrew speakers, including programs for adults, for children, and for the entire family. For more information about Israeli programs at the JCC, contact Shavit Kaner Levinson at shavit@apjcc.org.
